At Kälberstein, the ski jumping complex and the chapel there form a hiking destination that can be reached via several routes from Aschauerweiher or Berchtesgaden. The site is also a destination for a winter hike. The Kälberstein Chapel is listed in Stanggaß as a neo-Romanesque Marian chapel; it was built in 1882 at the summit of Kälberstein at an elevation of 789 meters.

The combined pedestrian and cycle path between Bischofswiesen and Berchtesgaden ends in Stanggaß. Anyone continuing by bicycle toward Berchtesgaden must use State Road 2097 for this purpose.
