The HochAlb landscape features colorful flower meadows with remarkable biodiversity, particularly in early summer. In the district of Tieringen, there is also an 850-meter-long barefoot trail over sand, clay, mud, pebbles, bark mulch, forest floor, and meadow. Nordic walking routes also lead through the species-rich Hülenbuch nature reserve in Tieringen and along the Tieringer Hörnle, where viewpoints are located.

In the 12th or 13th century, Meßstetten acquired its own St. Lamprecht Church. The Meßstetten Museum of Folk Art displays more than 1,300 ethnographic objects across four floors. The collection consists predominantly of objects from the southern German-speaking region dating from the 17th to the 19th century. The museum also houses twelve of the 42 rare pairs of figures from Anton Sohn's Basel Dance of Death.
