Nature
Large parts of the municipality of Lepuix lie within the Natura 2000 site. Likewise, large parts of the municipality are located within the Parc Naturel des Ballons des Vosges.
The Savoureuse rises near Lepuix. The Saut de la Truite waterfall is easily visible without using a hiking trail.
Trails and tours
There are numerous marked hiking opportunities at the foot of the Ballon d’Alsace and at the Planche des Belles Filles. The Vallée de la Savoureuse route between Lepuix and Malvaux is 9 km long and classified as “Sportif.” The Boucle des Belles Filles in Lepuix measures 9.6 km and also has the “Sportif” classification.
The Montée du Ballon d’Alsace begins in the village of Lepuix and features a series of hairpin bends with gradients of no more than 7%.
Activities
La Roche du Cerf is a climbing area with several sectors. In suitable weather conditions, ice-climbing routes also form there.
A half-day introduction at La Légende du Loup Noir presents the dog breeds kept there and the behavior of the pack. The visit is followed by a hike through the Parc naturel des Ballons des Vosges, led by dogs in harnesses, for participants aged six and over.
Culture
The restored Scierie Demouge is located in the Chauveroche district on the right bank of the Beucinière and offers tours with demonstrations. Throughout the year, it holds open days in May, July, and September, including during the Journées du Patrimoine. Additional tours are available by appointment.
The municipal sawmill Scierie Demouge was established on the initiative of the municipality and the Demouge family.
