Geographical Location
The mountains Aubühel, Sternstein and Hirschenstein are located in the vicinity of Lachovice. In the wider regional area lies Lindový vrch, which is also a mountain.
History and Culture
In the Czech urbar of 1278, Lachovice is mentioned as one of the places that paid the Vyšší Brod Monastery a reduced in-kind levy.
In the wider regional area are Breitenstein, a castle, Lobenstein Castle Ruins, a ruin, Rosenhof Castle, a castle, and Bühlerkreuz, a wayside shrine.
Paths and Woodcarving
On a detour to Lachovice, several wooden statues created at a woodcarving symposium can be viewed. The path to the bison enclosure passes several stations of the Lachovice Stations of the Cross; one station is located at the bison enclosure, where seating is available.
