Accommodation in Kammer
If you are looking for accommodation in Kammer, you can plan your stay around its connections to Klimt, the history of Kammer Castle and walking routes. The respective starting and ending points are also important for orientation: the Gustav Klimt Theme Trail runs from the Gustav Klimt Centre in Schörfling to Villa Paulick in Seewalchen; the Agermühlenweg starts at the Ager Bridge by Kammer-Schörfling railway station. This lets you combine your interests with the routes described.

Klimt connections and castle history
The Gustav Klimt Centre opened in Kammer-Schörfling on 14 July 2012 and presents a new exhibition every year. These are two distinct reference points for placing it in time: the opening date is part of the centre’s history, while the exhibition changes annually. If you are interested in a particular show, check in advance which exhibition will be on during your travel dates.
The Gustav Klimt Theme Trail is 1.1 kilometres long and runs from the Gustav Klimt Centre in Schörfling to Villa Paulick in Seewalchen. Kammer is one of the places featured on the trail in connection with Gustav Klimt’s former summer residences. The walk follows the promenades in Schörfling and Seewalchen. The trail thus links named places with a historical connection to Klimt.
Kammer Castle in Schörfling am Attersee is a moated castle dating from the 12th century. It was originally built on an island; today it stands on a peninsula, after a direct land connection was created by filling in the water. This development traces the change in its location from island to peninsula. The castle’s history offers a different way to explore the area than the Klimt exhibition and the theme trail.
Routes by theme and length
The Agermühlenweg is 4.3 kilometres long, rated very easy, and starts at the Ager Bridge by Kammer-Schörfling railway station. Compared with the 1.1-kilometre Gustav Klimt Theme Trail, it is the longer of the two routes; the trails also differ in their focus. The Klimt Theme Trail connects two named cultural sites, while the Agermühlenweg is described with a specific difficulty rating. Both the distance and the kind of route you are looking for may therefore influence your choice.
