A racing and training center for winter sports

Lackenhof has even more ambitious plans for the years ahead, although they are still in their early stages and are intended to become reality in a few years. First, a racing and training center for winter sports is to be established in Lackenhof, before alpine World Cup events are eventually held in the Ötscher region of Lower Austria. Until then, the infrastructure in and around Lackenhof will need to be put on a firmer footing.

Ski tourists in the Ötscher region of Lower Austria

In the short term, ski tourists in the Ötscher region of Lower Austria will benefit from an expansion of the lift facilities, which is due to get underway soon. There are also plans to make Lackenhof completely car-free, which would be particularly beneficial for families with children on a ski holiday. In the long term, several investors from Austria and abroad are to be attracted to Lackenhof to create the hotel and restaurant infrastructure needed for a World Cup event.
