The Kleinwalsertal is beckoning, with 1.30 m of snow on the mountains. There are about 60 cm in the valley. These are paradise-like conditions for a ski holiday. The first ski lifts opened on December 6. Full operations begin on December 19 and 20, 2008.

Slope package deal
The largest ski area in Germany and Austria is ready. And it’s never been easier to set off on a ski holiday. “Schnee bewegt” is the name of an attractive slope package deal that includes flights. Fly out in the morning and be on the slopes by lunchtime! It takes just about 2½ hours to fly from cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Cologne/Bonn to Memmingen’s Allgäu Airport. From there, a shuttle bus takes you straight to the Kleinwalsertal. Then it’s time to enjoy the slopes! The affordable package includes 3, 4 or 7 nights’ accommodation, plus a lift pass for 120 km of slopes.

The “Schnee bewegt” packages are offered by many guesthouses, holiday apartments, hotels and inns. They’re available throughout the ski season in the Kleinwalsertal, until April 19. A package with 7 nights’ accommodation and breakfast at a 4-star hotel, plus a 6-day lift pass and flights from Berlin, Cologne/Bonn or Hamburg, costs from €850. The “Schnee bewegt” package without flights or transfers is available for €562. You can travel by bus, train or car.
