Winter season in Zermatt is over, but ski tracks are still opened

Zermatt is one of the few resorts in the world, where ski holidays are available all year round. Situated at 3000 meters altitude ski slopes make it possible to ski on good snow even in July. Therefore holidays in Zermatt every year it's not just winter months, but late spring, and even summer.

In mid-April in Zermatt was held Zermatt Unplugged music festival, which became de facto closing ceremony of the winter season at the resort. Thus, Zermatt had actually said good-bye to winter and now offers off-season skiing.

Teodul glacier - this year its slopes t will be the main place for off-season skiing in Zermatt. In total, skiers and snowboarders will be offered 20 km of tracks. Temperature at the glacier altitude even in summer months is slightly cold, so the tracks are available for skiing almost like in winter.

In 2011 Zermatt launched special program for summer tourists. Tours to Zermatt at special prices are offered in the period from 2 May to 5 November 2011. The lowest prices for accommodation, meals and ski passes are from 2 May to 6 June, according to onthesnow.ru.
