The Lift will not Work during the Season

The lift that joined Les Arcs and La Plagne has been closed as its safety was under the threat. It was said that the problem has been already found out on the outer coating of some cables. And it is planned to examine the cables during this winter. However, any work will not start until spring, so the lift will not be working this season.

The lift joining Les Arcs and La Plagne was opened 4 years ago but it was rather difficult to get the permission to open it. The trouble was that there was a great environmental concern and then it was rather difficult to plan, design and then to built the lift over the valley.

There are many skiers and snowboarder who hoped for the Vanoise lift to help them to get to their favorite places to ski and snowboard. Many people have already booked their accommodation close to the lift in hope that it will be easy for them to access to both of the areas of Les Arcs and La Plagne. Unfortunately, their hopes weren’t justified so many people were very angry and displeased.

But not only skiers and snowboarders suffered for the Vanoise lift break. There are also many small restaurants and bars that also have a very profitable business in the valley.
