Ski fashion in the 2010 season

According to Blue Tomato, the largest online retailer of ski and snowboard clothing, the ski wear of the coming season will “light up” the slopes in extremely vivid colors. Until recently, earth tones were at the top of snowboarders’ popularity rankings, but now it’s bright, vibrant colors such as orange, light blue and yellow that are in vogue—with both male and female snowboarders. Fashion from the 1980s is also making its way onto the ]slopes and runs of Kitzbühel through to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and will be on trend in ski wear next season, too.

Back to the roots: loose-fitting cuts are back in style for snowboard clothing. This brings the trend back to the roots of the sport and is a logical development, since snowboarders in particular need plenty of freedom of movement when practicing their sport. Ski wear, on the other hand, is getting tighter again. Fitted jackets and skin-tight so-called “jet pants” are very much in fashion. The good old one-piece suit is also making a comeback in ski fashion for 2010. Leading ski fashion brand Bogner is fully convinced that the one-piece suit will catch on, with both men and women who ski.
