Snowboard Event Val Thorens
The 11th Boarderweek 2007 kicks off in Val Thorens from December 15 to 22. The snowboard event has been held since 1997. It has since become one of the most popular winter sports highlights of all, and not just among snowboard fans. An exciting programme of sport and music is on offer—and, of course, partying without end. Val Thorens is famous for that, after all.

This year's sensational programme goes far beyond the usual scope of a “snowboard and party” event. Bungee jumping, volleyball and trampolines are also on the agenda, along with night sessions featuring Big Air and Slopestyle Rail contests. Snowboard and ski shows, as well as freestyle motocross, will of course amaze the spectators too.

There's plenty new at this year's Boarderweek: snowboard pros and beginners alike will find ideal training runs in the Easy Funpark. Here, you can learn your first tricks with expert guidance. The new snowpark will also be used for competitions.
Europe's highest ski resort
The probably highest ski resort in Europe, Val Thorens is located in France's 3 Vallées. Winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to 170 km of pistes and 28 state-of-the-art lift facilities. Thanks to its high-altitude location at 2,300 m, Val Thorens offers excellent snow reliability. In addition, more than 1,300 snow cannons are ready for use in the 3 Vallées. It's a wonderful ski area, one of the most beautiful in the 3 Vallées, with wide pistes, first-class powder slopes and fun parks for beginners and expert snowboarders.
DJs and live concerts will get the party going throughout the day. The organisers are trying to keep the names secret until the last moment. Get ready to rock until morning.
