Stateline: Events, Trails and Seasonal Experiences
Accommodation in Stateline
Stateline offers specific reasons to stay, with options centered on events, trails, and seasonal activities. If you’re looking for a place to stay, first decide what to focus on: events, outdoor trails, or seasonal activities each raise different planning questions. For activities that depend on the season and weather, it’s especially worth checking the specific dates.
Events and Getting There
The Tahoe Blue Event Center is in the Stateline area of Nevada, within the South Lake Tahoe area, and opened in September 2023. Its flexible arena spaces are designed for concerts, comedy shows, family shows, sporting events, and other events. Depending on the event, it can accommodate up to 5,200 people, so capacity depends on the format. For your visit, the specific event matters, not a general capacity figure.
There is also a named transfer option for travel by public transit: following changes that took effect on January 4, 2026, eastbound Route 55 ends at the Stateline Transit Center. There, passengers can transfer to eastbound Route 50 to the Kingsbury Transit Center. Check the schedule before traveling.
Trails and Excursions
The Lake Tahoe National Scenic Byway is a 28-mile lakeside road from Stateline to Crystal Bay. The route offers a clearly defined option for a drive along the lakeshore and connects the two named endpoints. Van Sickle is just a short walk from the Stateline casinos.
The Lam Watah Nature Trail, also known as Rabe Meadows, is a 2.8-mile loop near Stateline. Seasonal conditions and access can change, so check the situation before your visit. The trail area was used as a camp for more than 1,000 years. This long history of use adds a historical perspective on Rabe Meadows to the trail description.
Seasonal Recreational Activities
Edgewood on Ice is an ice-skating experience at 180 Lake Parkway in Stateline. It is seasonal and weather-dependent, so it’s a good idea to check current conditions before your visit. Heavenly Village Mini Golf has a different seasonal pattern: the seasonal 18-hole mini golf course in Stateline is open during the day and at night in the summer months. Dates and opening hours may change.
As a seasonal winter activity, Tahoe Snowmobiles offers an hour-long snow tubing experience for the whole family at its Tubing Hill location in Stateline. There are also combined tubing and snowmobile adventures. Check before traveling to see whether seasonal operations are running.
At the Stateline location of Lake Tahoe AleWorX, visitors can pour their own pints of craft beer and learn about the brewing process. If you plan to include this experience, confirm current operations before traveling.
Douglas County as a Wider Setting
In the wider destination of Douglas County, the Spooner Lake Visitor Center & Amphitheatre hosts programs on natural and cultural history, as well as ranger-led hikes and tours. Program schedules may vary; check the schedule if you’re planning to include this as part of your stay.
