Culture

The Church of San Gottardo, its bell tower, the churchyard and the cemetery cross form a complex considered historically and architecturally significant. The church was built between 1722 and 1738 next to the Oratory of the Immaculate Conception and is decorated in the late Baroque style.

The Campanile di Intragna is described as being 65.114 metres high and is considered the tallest bell tower in the canton of Ticino. Inside the bell tower, 165 granite steps lead to the bell level at a height of around 38 metres. From there, a 360-degree view opens up over the Centovalli, Terre di Pedemonte and Valle Onsernone. Visitors are referred to the adjacent Museo Regionale delle Centovalli e del Pedemonte for bell tower visits.
