History
Watchmaking has also shaped the village over long periods: Welschenrohr was already known for watchmaking before 1700. Until the 1980s, more than 16 watch companies and numerous workshops operated there.
The uhrundzeit watch museum is housed in the former TECHNOS watch factory. The building dates back to the Gunzinger family and the year 1918.
