Lake Taillères is located 3 km west of the village of La Brévine. Its southern shore is lined with fir trees, while the northern shore is bordered by pastureland. Winter
In winter, the La Brévine valley has regularly maintained cross-country ski trails of various lengths for cross-country skiers of all ability levels. The Chemin des Taillères No. 803 is an 11 km winter hiking trail that starts and ends in La Brévine and follows the shore of Lake Taillères.
Trails
The Vy aux Moines is a medieval route created by the monks of Môtiers to reach the canons of Montebenoît. The Sentier des bornes runs along the French-Swiss border and leads to boundary stones dating from 1766 and 1819. It reaches an altitude of 1,173 m and passes through the landscape of the La Brévine valley.
The hike from La Brévine to Les Verrières passes through Jura pastures, by Lake Taillères and down a gentle slope to the village of Les Verrières on the French-Swiss border.

Fondue Chaux-des-Taillères is a speciality of the La Brévine valley. It comes from one of the valley's cheese dairies and is served in a special «Chaux-des-Taillères» bread with diced bacon, shallots and Neuchâtel white wine.
The Fête du Froid takes place every year and includes entertainment, sports, competitions, performances and refreshments.
