Cumbel is a village in the municipality of Lumnezia in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It is located in Val Lumnezia, southwest of Ilanz. As a linear settlement along the road, Cumbel lies on the southeastern slope of Piz Mundaun. Since 2013, Cumbel has politically been a fraction of the valley municipality of Lumnezia.

Geographical setting
The former municipal area of Cumbel covered 445 hectares. Of this, 207 hectares were agricultural land, 203 hectares forest and wooded land, 24 hectares settlement area, and 11 hectares unproductive land (mountainous terrain).

History and culture
Cumbel was first mentioned in a document around 840. The Imperial land register of Louis the Pious also mentions the Church of St. Mauritius in Valgronda.
In Cumbel, there are archaeological traces of earlier settlement in the form of four pre-Christian graves. Roman traces, as elsewhere in Val Lumnezia, are sparse and limited to finds of coins and pottery fragments.
