Tartar: Hotels and accommodations
The Church of St. Stephen in Tartar was first mentioned in 1505. During its restoration in 1996, it received a small Kuhn organ from Männedorf with three registers and a shingle roof. At that time, a striking clock mechanism was also installed in the tower.

Culture
The Cazis Cultural Archive collects cultural objects and documents from municipal collections and private households and makes them accessible to the public. The photo collection comprises more than 5,500 images dating from 1870 to the present day. The library of the Cazis Cultural Archive contains around 2,500 works, including many antiquarian books. It also preserves documents relating to the excavations at Petrushügel and Cresta, as well as translations of the witch trials in Sarn.
The Cazis Cultural Archive is open every last Saturday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tartar municipal building. Small groups can visit the archive outside regular opening hours by registering in advance by telephone at +41 79 419 31 65.
The Tartar Tower Clock Museum displays more than 50 mechanically sound and fully functional tower clocks and is located at Kirchgasse 11 in 7422 Tartar. As there are no parking spaces at the museum, visitors are asked to use the car park at the entrance to the village. The Tartar Tower Clock Museum will remain closed until further notice; when visiting on the hour, you can experience a carillon there.
Circular Tours and Landscape
The Cazis Mitte circular tour can be started and finished at any point. It runs along the waterways on the Heinzenberg through shady, cooling forest sections and leads to Tartar and through Tartar to the Vallar turnoff. Through the Porteiner Gorge, it continues via a single trail and sections where bikes must be pushed to Oberi Baria.
The fire pit at the Tartar shooting range is located beside a small pond and a stream and has a sheltered shelter.
