Rüegsbach is one of the villages in the municipality of Rüegsau and lies along the Rüegsbach between the Emme and the surrounding settlements.

Culture

The St. Blasius Chapel is located in Rüegsbach. Its church bells date from the 12th and 13th centuries and are considered to be among the oldest bells in Switzerland.

Near Rüegsau, a covered wooden arch bridge dating from 1839 crosses the Emme; it lies between Hasle and Rüegsau. There is also a small history museum directly on the Emme.

The wider area of Rüegsau extends from the banks of the Emme at 560 metres above sea level to the Höchi above Vorderer Almisberg at 841 metres.
