Winter and Trails
Hiking trails lead from Oberegg through hamlets and farmsteads to Landmark. At the same time, the village is the starting and ending point for extensive hill hikes. The hills around Oberegg offer views towards Lake Constance.
“Sepp’s Hiking Suggestion” is a hiking route that starts and ends in Oberegg. Along the route, the trail passes Chindlistein; information boards in the surrounding area provide information about the characteristic stones. At the Klusbach, the route includes a summer barbecue area and the opportunity to cool off in the stream.

History
The name Oberegg first appears in a household census from 1535. Construction of the parish church for the Catholic inhabitants of Oberegg-Hirschberg began in 1654. The parish church was consecrated in 1658, and the parish was established at the same time. St. Anton Chapel was built at the beginning of the 18th century.
