The Mislinja ski jumping centre features the plastic-surfaced HS-93M, HS-72M, HS-35M and HS-15M hills. The facility also includes a chairlift and lighting. This makes a clearly defined winter sports offering the focus in Mislinja, complemented by historic routes, buildings and natural attractions.

Cycling

Štrekna is a paved cycle path that follows the disused route of a former railway line. In Mislinja, it runs along a separate cycling path and is particularly suitable for children and older people. There are several rest areas and former railway tunnels along the route. The section in Mislinja is considered the most varied part of the entire route. Its highest point is also located here; this was once the site of the highest railway station in the former Yugoslavia.

Culture and History

Tisnikar House is a 17th-century building that was originally an ironworks. Today, it houses the Kavka Gallery and an information centre. Art courses and exhibitions are held in the house; it also hosts the international Tisnikarjeva likovna kolonija, Grabn Art and Mala Tisnikarjeva kolonija.

The fully preserved Robnikova kovačija contains numerous tools, including a water-powered hammer. Another historic building is the Church of sv. Ahac. It was built in the second half of the 15th century, around 1470, and is a well-preserved example of Gothic architecture. The nave has a wooden ceiling dating from around 1730.

Nature

Zois Park is largely preserved. It contains trees around 250 years old, which are among the thickest in Slovenia. Huda Luknja was opened to visitors in 1895 and is one of the larger natural attractions in the Koroška–Šalek region.

Traditions

The charcoal-burning tradition in Mislinja is maintained on the municipal holiday in the last week of June. At the Pozdrav jeseni event, the largest local produce is selected and weighed. Bread and other delicacies are also displayed.
