The Vojni muzej Logatec houses more than 2,800 awards from around the world. The museum displays military-historical objects ranging from stone axes and artefacts from the Copper and Bronze Ages and the Roman period, through the Middle Ages and the two world wars, to exhibits on the 1991 Slovenian War of Independence and the development of the new Slovenian army.

History
Logatec was mentioned as early as Roman times and was a strategically important staging post on the road between Aquileia and Emona, ancient Ljubljana. Logatec Castle, together with several notable examples of the traditional rural architecture of the Notranjska region, shapes the character of the town.
In Gorenja vas, the Cerkev sv. Janeza Evangelista church has a medieval layout and was first mentioned in 1526. It also preserves remnants of a fresco depicting the procession of the Three Kings, which was created before the middle of the 15th century.
Napoleon Avenue is designated as a historically designed landscape. It consists of 290 linden trees lining a 1,900-metre-long road.
