Culture
The interior of the Church of St Catherine of Alexandria is decorated with wall paintings. The best-known wall painting dates from 1317 and depicts a scene from the legend of the Hungarian King Ladislaus I. The Pavel Baláž Carriage Museum displays 30 historic carriages and sleighs. Visitors can also see Lipizzaners there, whose origins date back up to 500 years. The church and museum thus offer two clearly distinct forms of historical insight: sacred wall art on the one hand and preserved vehicles with living animals on the other. The names of the church and museum make it easier to identify the respective cultural offerings.
Golf
Black Stork in Veľká Lomnica has a 27-hole PGA golf course. Black Stork also offers a golf academy for beginners. The Black Stork golf resort includes a 350-metre-long covered shooting range. For comparison within the resort, both the size of the golf offering and the explicitly mentioned entry point through the academy and the covered range’s stated length are therefore clear. The three details describe different sporting opportunities without having to be combined into a single offering.
Cycling
The “Through Kežmarok to the Pieniny national park” cycling route runs from Poprad via Matejovce and Veľká Lomnica to the historic town of Kežmarok. It is 60 km long and is designated as an MTB and road cycling route with an asphalt surface. Along the cycling route there are benches and information boards with educational content. The route’s course, distance, designated cycling types and surface are therefore stated separately for classification purposes. The facilities along the route also remain specific: seating and boards with educational content are among the stated features.
Nature
Wild Park Resort showcases a wide variety of animals from around the world in its educational programmes, including felines, reptiles, primates, amphibians and various insect species. Wild Park includes attractions for children of all ages. The animal groups are not limited to a single genus, but range from mammals through reptiles and amphibians to insects. Together with the educational programme, this creates a different focus from the church, museum, golf or cycling route.
