Cycling and activities on the Soła

A cycling route about five kilometres long runs through Milowka along the Soła. Its elevation gain is 25 metres. The length and elevation gain provide two specific points of reference to help you fit the route into your day’s plans. There is also a pump track by the Soła, connected to an existing cycle path. It is used by cyclists to train for rides in hilly terrain. Inline skaters, skateboarders and scooter riders can also use it. Park Gminny: activities with different focuses

If you plan to visit the high ropes course, take this height requirement into account for everyone who wants to use the routes. The high ropes course is seasonal, so check local opening information before your visit. The health trail offers a different kind of activity and is also part of the park. You can therefore choose between the park’s offerings by type: high ropes routes with a set height requirement, or a health trail with exercise equipment. The approximate area of three hectares indicates the size of the park, but does not imply a particular length of stay.

Church history and Posiady Gawędziarskie

The history of the Church of the Assumption of Mary traces the transition from its wooden predecessor to today’s brick church. The wooden church was in use until the first half of the 19th century. Construction of its brick successor began in 1834 and was completed in 1839. The church is classified as being in the so-called Vistula style. This helps put the building phases in context: the use of the wooden church was followed by the construction and completion of the present building.

The Posiady Gawędziarskie in Milowka offer another way to experience regional culture. This three-day event is held every year in November. Stories are told in the regional dialect, and the programme also includes a competition in playing unique folk instruments.
