45-minute boat trips on Lake Mucharskie depart from and return to Jaszczurowa Harbour. You can choose between the ship “Róża Wiatrów” and the gondola “Szafir”. Castle Complex and Memorial Room

The castle and park complex in Jaszczurowa has significant historical value in the Nadskawie region and forms a high-quality architectural and landscape composition. Preserved design features of an English landscape park shape the character of the site. The estate is privately owned and access is restricted; it can be viewed from the outside. The memorial room for writer Janina Barbara Górkiewiczowa offers a different connection to the town’s history. It was established in 2007 and is located in the primary school in Jaszczurowa. This gives you two distinct cultural themes: the castle complex’s combination of architecture and landscape park, and the memorial room’s tribute to a writer.

Hiking Destinations on and near Lake Mucharskie

When planning a hike, distinguish between two options described in different geographical terms. A route to Leskowiec (922 m) starts at the last PKS bus stop in Jaszczurowa (Pętla). From there, it follows a gravel road to the settlement of Dudówka and then runs alongside the Jaszczurówka stream. This route is unmarked; the designation “Bez szlaku” makes clear that it differs from a marked trail. At 922 m, Leskowiec is also the highest of the peaks mentioned here.

In addition, three hiking trails by Lake Mucharskie and in its immediate surroundings lead to peaks in two mountain ranges. In the Beskid Makowski, these are Jaroszowicka Góra (541 m), Starowidz (534 m) and Chełm (603 m); in the Beskid Mały, they are Żmijowa (595 m), Gołuszkowa Góra (715 m) and Magurka Ponikiewska (790 m). These destinations range from 534 to 790 metres in elevation. When choosing, you can first distinguish the expressly unmarked route to Leskowiec from the three hiking trails on or near the lake.
