Location and Landscape
Tylicz lies at the confluence of the Muszynka River and the Mochnaczka stream, on the border between the Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski mesoregions. The town is located east of Krynica and is served by National Road 75.

Tylicz is located in Popradzki Landscape Park. The natural environment is interpreted through the Na Rakowsku nature education trail. The trail begins at a spring located 2 km from the center of Tylicz.
Nearby are Huzary, Plaziny, Dzielec – Beskid Niski, at 792 m above sea level, and Wysokie Bereśce.

Tylicz has a parish church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, dating from 1612. The local religious heritage also includes the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tylicz and a church with the iconostasis of Saints Cosmas and Damian.
