Prato Nevoso is a ski and summer holiday resort in the Ligurian Alps, situated at an altitude of 1,500 metres in the municipality of Frabosa Sottana in the province of Cuneo. Prato Nevoso focuses on winter sports as well as summer activities. The town is located at 1,500 metres, while the walking trail and cable car reach 2,000 metres.

Mondolè Ski and Winter Sports

Together with Artesina and Frabosa Soprana, Prato Nevoso forms part of the Mondolè Ski area. The Mondolè Ski area offers more than 130 kilometres of downhill runs, as well as a cross-country ski trail for skiers of all ability levels. The downhill runs are for alpine skiing, while the cross-country ski trail is for cross-country skiing; both offerings are located in the same Mondolè Ski area. The La Rossa Panoramica cable car is accessible to pedestrians and reaches an altitude of 2,000 metres. A panoramic walking trail begins at the La Rossa cable car and leads to an altitude of 2,000 metres. The walking trail is considered accessible to everyone. For a walk in Prato Nevoso, the La Rossa cable car is the specific starting point.

Summer Leisure Activities

Prato Nevoso Village is a family-oriented amusement park with inflatable play structures, mini snowmobiles, snow tubing, a play area and a bobsleigh area. Prato Nevoso Village also includes an adventure high-rope course for young visitors. It is located among the trees. Prato Nevoso Village has a mini-golf course for family leisure activities. The course is shaded.

Prato Nevoso Bike Park is divided into the Blu and Rosso areas and offers trails for all ability levels. Falesia del Monte Moro has climbing routes ranging from easy to very difficult. When choosing routes in Prato Nevoso, the division into Blu and Rosso is the decisive factor in the bike park, while at the Falesia, it is the climbing grade. The bike park and Falesia therefore differ both in terms of the sport and the way difficulty is indicated.

Infopoint, Caves and Summer Bus

The Infopoint di Prato Nevoso is open seasonally in both summer and winter as a point of contact for tourist services. Tourist services are not limited to a single season.

In the area around Prato Nevoso, the Grotte del Caudano can only be visited by prior reservation; visiting hours vary depending on the season. For this excursion, the reservation and the season-dependent visiting hours are therefore important conditions. Anyone planning to include the Grotte del Caudano in a stay in Prato Nevoso should take both points into account.

In August, a summer bus service was established from Mondovì via Artesina to Prato Nevoso.
