Lorica on Lago Arvo
Lorica lies at an altitude of 1,314 metres on the northern shore of Lago Arvo and is home to Sila National Park. Lago Arvo is a year-round visitor attraction in Lorica. The small San Francesco alla Verna church stands in the town among centuries-old trees.
In summer, Lorica's ski station provides opportunities for excursions, trekking and walks through the forests. The Monte Botte Donato cable car reaches the summit at an altitude of 1,928 metres. Hiking trails between Lago Arvo, the valley and Monte Botte Donato
Two hiking trails follow different routes: one initially runs along flat sections beside Lago Arvo and then uphill towards Monte Botte Donato. The other descends into the Lago Arvo valley and then continues via Casa Nocelle to the town of Lorica. For planning the route, the ascent on the first route comes after the flat sections along the lake; on the second trail, the section via Casa Nocelle follows only after the descent into the valley. Anyone who does not want to plan the ascent at the beginning will find it on the second route only after the valley section.

A 30-minute electric boat trip is offered on Lago Arvo. Centro Sportivo Lorica is located in the heart of Sila and is dedicated to canoeing and rowing. The sports facility is open to everyone.
