They include original Simson motorcycles ridden by European and world champions to victory, as well as the legendary Greifzu racing car. The range of exhibits and the featured motorsport items offer a different focus from the manufacturing and economic history presented at the Weapons Museum.
Planetarium and Observatory
The Suhl Planetarium seats up to 56 visitors beneath an 8-metre dome. The Zeiss “Skymaster” small planetarium projects around 6,000 fixed stars, as well as the movements of the Sun, Moon and planets. At the observatory, visitors can make observations under expert guidance using a 40-cm Cassegrain reflecting telescope and an 11-cm refractor. The two attractions therefore differ in format: at the planetarium, you see projections beneath the dome; at the observatory, observations are made using telescopes. Hiking Trails, the Rennsteig and the Marionette Theatre
