At the Steinberg, andalusite mica schist emerges in a striking form along hiking trails in Auerbach, Rodewisch, Wernesgrün, Wildenau, Obercrinitz and Rothenkirchen. The rock forms irregularly piled-up masses of stone and numerous scree slopes. The scree slopes include the Jüdensteine and the Joly-Stein.
