In seven themed rooms, the Vogtland Village Rooms present Vogtland customs, traditions, and things that have almost been forgotten. Visitors can view tools from old and traditional crafts and relive “Great-Grandma's washing day”. This selection offers several points of connection: it is aimed not only at people with a particular interest in architectural history, but also makes work equipment, habits, and inherited areas of life the subject of the exhibition.

Railway history as a separate focus

Another area of the village rooms is dedicated to the history of the former “Voigtland State Railway”, particularly the Herlasgrün–Oelsnitz line. Traditional texts, historical documents, and photographs form the basis of the presentation.
