Bilkheim: Hotels and Accommodation
Bilkheim’s documented archaeological heritage includes a burial site dating from the Hallstatt period, with 30 burial mounds and flat graves. The cemetery is no longer visible today; an information board provides historical information and displays images of the finds.
In the immediate vicinity, north of Bilkheim on the road from Salz to Herschbach, stands the small wayside shrine from the 19th century. The masonry shrine has a niche in its pointed gable. Also north of Bilkheim, on the road to Salz, is the wayside chapel. It is built of masonry, has a half-timbered gable, and probably dates from the second half of the 18th century.
