Culture and History
Andreasberg’s mining heritage is visible at the Carl-Haber-Stollen, the Miners’ Cross, the Steigerhaus, the mining spoil heaps on the Dörnberg and the historic miners’ homes along Dorfstraße.
Andreasberg was established in 1854 as a miners’ colony. Nineteen of the original houses have been preserved; they retain the settlement’s historic architectural character.
