The Karst Hiking Trail passes directly through Bad Sachsa and explores the South Harz karst landscape. The 4.5-kilometer panoramic trail runs around Bad Sachsa and offers impressive views. Another perspective is offered by Ravensberg, Bad Sachsa’s local mountain, which stands 659 meters high. From there, panoramic views extend across the surrounding area and, on a clear day, even as far as the Brocken. Ravensberg can be reached on foot, by bicycle or mountain bike, and by car. Several ways of accessing the mountain are therefore available; its views and elevation also offer a distinctive connection to the local landscape.

In the district of Steina, the Glass Museum displays historic glass art from the 16th and 17th centuries and offers insights into the era of woodland glassworks. You can arrange individual guided tours of the Glass Museum by booking in advance. St. Catherine’s Church in Steina dates from the 18th century. Also in Steina is the Steinatalsperre natural monument: a small historic dam in dense mixed forest.
