Nature
Plum trees shape many orchards and traditional meadow orchards around Bühl. The Bühl–Bühlertal–Ottersweier holiday region has an elevation difference of around 800 meters between valley and summit. Its hiking trails are signposted. Bühl also offers cycling tours through its vineyards.
Culinary delights
Bühler Frühzwetschgen plums are sold at regional markets, by direct sellers, and in farm shops. At the height of the season, up to 100 railway wagons loaded with Bühler Frühzwetschgen plums left Bühl every day for destinations in Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland. The Bühler Frühzwetschge is considered to have been discovered in Kappelwindeck in 1840. In the Bühl–Bühlertal–Ottersweier holiday region, family-run wineries offer wine tastings, while traditional inns serve regional dishes.
