Waldbrunn: Hotels and Accommodation

Winter

The marked hiking trail network in Waldbrunn covers more than 130 kilometres and extends around the Katzenbuckel. At the Katzenbuckel, there are tobogganing opportunities for children; there is also an old ski jump there. Horse-riding excursions are offered from the climatic health resort of Waldbrunn.

At the Katzenbuckel-Therme, the Tourist Information Office provides detailed information about leisure activities in the surrounding area and around Waldbrunn.

Nature

The Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park offers themed walks, adventure trails and educational trails focusing on the landscape, nature and culture. Its natural and cultural experiences also include the Katzenbuckel volcano near Waldbrunn.

The Katzenbuckel rises to 626 metres and is the highest mountain in the Odenwald. Geologically, it is the remnant of a volcanic vent from the Cretaceous period.

Culture

A historic sandstone observation tower stands on the Katzenbuckel. The 18-metre-high tower was built in 1820 and offers views over the Itter Valley, the Taunus, the Spessart, the Bauland, the Kraichgau and the Neckar Valley.

The Art Nouveau church in Strümpfelbrunn dates from 1916. The church in Waldkatzenbach was built by the Göler family and completed in 1746; the family's coats of arms can still be seen on its pulpit.

Recreation

The Katzenbuckel-Therme includes a relaxation pool, a bio sauna, an outdoor pool open all year round, a swimming pool and a children's area.
