Eisenbach between the Food Trail and Snowshoe Route
Accommodation in Eisenbach
The Seewald Food Trail connects several districts and offers two route lengths. In Eisenbach, there is also a playground with a variety of features and a snowshoe route through the forests around Seewald-Eisenbach. The three options differ in route length, trail type, and landscape. The Food Trail leads as a circular hike through Göttelfingen, Omersbach, Morgental, Allmandle, and Eisenbach, while the snowshoe option follows its own circular route through forests and snow-covered open areas. The longer Food Trail and the winter route are not the same trail; they differ both in trail type and in the landscapes described. When choosing between the options, the first consideration is therefore whether you are planning a signposted hike with two distance options or a 5.5-kilometre snowshoe loop.

Hiking trails with different route lengths
The Seewald Food Trail is 12.6 kilometres long and can be shortened to 8.2 kilometres. As a circular hike, it includes Göttelfingen, Omersbach, Morgental, Allmandle, and Eisenbach. The route is signposted. The longer version covers the full distance, while the shortened option forms a more compact section of the same loop. This provides two distances for planning your day. You can choose the distance according to the time available for your hiking day: 8.2 kilometres or the full loop of 12.6 kilometres. In Eisenbach, the trail offers a short detour to the playground with a Kneipp water-treading facility.
Eisenbach Playground and Kneipp Water-Treading Facility
The Eisenbach playground offers a merry-go-round, a toddler swing, a climbing frame, a slide, and a sandbox. There are also two swings, a shelter, a spring rocking horse, seating, a playhouse, a climbing tower, and a ladder wall. The facilities are complemented by a football pitch, a target wall, and a Kneipp water-treading facility.
The water-treading facility is located directly next to the playground. There, you walk through the basin in the stork step according to the Kneipp method. You can therefore plan the short detour as a stop along the way where the playground and water-treading facility are combined.
Snowshoe route through the forests
For winter days, the snowshoe option of the Göttelfingen Glassworks Tour is a separate route option. It is 5.5 kilometres long and forms a circular route through dense coniferous forest and across open, freshly snow-covered areas in the forests around Seewald-Eisenbach, Seewald-Allmandle, and Seewald-Göttelfingen. Compared with the Food Trail, the alternation between dense coniferous forest and open, freshly snow-covered areas characterises the course of this short loop. At 5.5 kilometres, this circular route is shorter than the full Food Trail of 12.6 kilometres. Former forest glassworks are located along the snowshoe route. They no longer exist today. There are no forest glassworks or usable buildings at the former sites today.
Eisenbach on the Hike
The hike reaches the district of Eisenbach with its imposing Meierhof. The former forest glassworks belong to the winter route through the forests, while the Meierhof belongs to the Eisenbach district reached on the hike.
