Arc 1800: Hotels and accommodation

Arc 1800 has been designated as “Architecture contemporaine remarquable” (ACR); this designation replaces “Patrimoine du XXe siècle”. Charlotte Perriand was involved in the construction of the winter sports resort in the 1970s.

Orientation

Arc 1800 is divided into four car-free districts: Charvet, Villard, Chantel and Charmettoger. The architecture of Arc 1800 is examined in detail based on its buildings, by residential property and residential complex.

Culture

The Galerie des Minéraux is located at the intermediate station of the Transarc cable car in Arc 1800. It offers a staged tour exploring how minerals have shaped humanity and how humans have transformed these treasures of the earth.

Along the Sentier de l'Homme-Cairn, enigmatic sculptures, unusual engravings and marine fossils tell the story of a learned people who lived here long before us, when the oceans covered the Alpine peaks.

Activities

The Aquacenter in Arc 1800 has 3,800 m² of water areas and is located in the heart of Arc 1800. Its wellness area includes two steam rooms, two saunas, a cold-water bucket, a relaxation room, showers and a herbal tea room. The Aquacenter also includes a paddling pool, water games, a lazy river and a Pentagliss slide for children.

Luge 1800 is a 900 m-long downhill run with banked curves and wooded sections. The start of Luge 1800 can be reached by the Villards gondola lift.

The Ride Park is located in the heart of Arc 1800 and includes a pump track, a skatepark, a BMX flat area, a skateramp and an area for freestyle scooters.

Golf des Arcs offers the 18-hole Le Chantel course with par 70, as well as the 9-hole Le Beauchet course with par 27.
