Dienten Am Hochkönig

When looking for accommodation for a skiing holiday in Dienten Am Hochkönig, the location within the village is an important starting point: Dienten is centrally located in the Hochkönig region’s ski area, and the lifts end right in the middle of the village. At the same time, there are cable cars, hiking trails, family-oriented activities, and tours in addition to skiing. Dienten lies at the foot of the Hochkönig. Sunny alpine meadows and the Hochkönig massif provide the backdrop for hikes.

Tours for different days

The Bürglalm Mitzi Trail starts at the top station of the Bürglalmbahn and ends at the football pitch in Dienten. The route therefore connects a mountain-lift starting point with a destination in the village. Another option is the Böndlsee tour: it starts in Dienten and leads around the small natural Böndlsee lake.

The 74 km Königsweg offers another long hiking route connected with Dienten. The longer hiking option complements the shorter tours. On guided legends hikes, you can hike to twelve local legends.

Alpine pasture destination and practical orientation

The Königsbergalm near Dienten lies between the peaks of the Dientner Mountains and lush green alpine meadows. It has been operated for guests since 2003. Access is via a forest road suitable for pushchairs from the barrier on Lindlweg and takes about one hour. The time stated should be understood as an approximation. The pushchair-suitable forest road is relevant for families but says nothing about the specific facilities of any accommodation.
