The Filzmoos ski resort offers around 20 kilometres of slopes in an impressive mountain landscape. At the same time, Filzmoos offers alternatives for days when not everyone in your group wants to choose the same activity: cross-country skiing, hiking, culture, cycling and an amusement park.

Skiing and orientation in the village

A special feature within the ski resort is the “filZOO” Funslope at sixpack Mooslehen. The Funslope is a playfully designed section of the ski resort. It is around one kilometre long and combines movement, play and skiing. The Papageno gondola is also important for finding your way around the village: it runs directly from the centre of Filzmoos. Rossbrand: cross-country skiing and mountain panoramas

Rossbrand is home to a 16-kilometre high-altitude cross-country ski trail offering panoramic views. As a cross-country skiing option, it differs from alpine skiing in the ski resort. From Rossbrand, you can enjoy views of the Dachstein and more than 150 Alpine peaks stretching as far as the Hohe Tauern. Rossbrand also offers a 360-degree view.

Hiking, cycling and themed trails

Filzmoos offers more than 250 kilometres of signposted hiking trails. The designated long-distance hiking trails in Filzmoos include Rund um die Bischofsmütze, the Dachstein circular trail, the Salzburger Almenweg and the “Leonhardsweg” pilgrimage trail.

There is also a specific cycling offer. BIKEDORF Filzmoos comprises 12 mountain bike and e-mountain bike routes totalling more than 150 kilometres and covering all levels of difficulty. The themed trails provide interesting information about plants, trees and rocks, as well as the history of the people of this region. This offers different thematic approaches, from sporty routes to trails focusing on nature and culture.

Culture and activities away from the slopes

The Filzmooser Kindl is a late Gothic miraculous image that pilgrims from the surrounding area and further afield have visited for centuries. The parish church of Filzmoos is dedicated to the Apostles Peter and Paul. Getting to Filzmoos

The nearest railway stations to Filzmoos are Eben im Pongau, 11 km away, Radstadt, 18 km away, and Bischofshofen, 30 km away. Eben im Pongau is therefore the closest, while Bischofshofen is the furthest away. From there, Postbuses or taxis run to Filzmoos.
