Ski as a winter sports experience its renaissance. If it’s tried at least once it will be carried out again and again. Living in Germany you don’t have to travel to Scandinavia to do this sport. Suitable ski: the Nordic Ski Cruising has been specially designed to ski. This is about 10 to 20 centimeters shorter than for a classic style skiing and has a wider footprint. Cruising offer Nordic skiing as Schuppenski (NoWax ski) for the classical style or skating. These can be used for both sports. The price for such shoes in the shops varies from 80 euros and rising.
Binding: there are only two binding systems on the market which are of same building - SNS (Salomon Nordic System) or NNN (New Nordic Norm). Both systems work reliably, but they are not compatible with each other.
Stock usage: there are sticks made of aluminum and carbon. The loops at the poles should be adjustable. Aluminum sticks are cheap, but less stable. Carbon poles are very lightweight, stable and unbreakable.
