Portes du Soleil Ski Area

The French part of Portes du Soleil is located in the French Alps; the ski domain extends into Switzerland.

For Morzine–Les Gets, the operator lists 120 kilometres of marked pistes: four green, 33 blue, 28 red and nine black runs. Some routes pass through forest, while open viewpoints offer views of the Chablais. For 2026/27, the operator gives 19 December 2026 to 4 April 2027 as the season dates; earlier partial openings depend on snow conditions. Beginners can find special lift-pass packages for the learning zones in Pléney and Nyon. On the piste map, play zones such as Parc des Pingouins and Chemin des Zouzous are marked in yellow. Chamossière and Ranfoilly near Les Gets are other named viewpoints.

The interactive Portes du Soleil piste map shows open lifts and pistes, connections between sectors, webcams, as well as restaurants, facilities and play zones. A paper map is available at the lift ticket offices.

From Morzine, the Super Morzine and Prodains gondolas lead to the car-free resort of Avoriaz at an altitude of 1,800 metres. The operator lists 78 kilometres of pistes and four snowparks there, along with beginner areas, wide runs and designated freeride zones. Easier runs are in the Proclou sector, while more technically challenging ones can be found in Chavanette or Fornet. For Avoriaz, the operator gives 11 December 2026 to 18 April 2027 as the 2026/27 season dates.

Along with Morzine–Les Gets and Avoriaz, Châtel, Champéry and Morgins are part of the cross-border ski domain, which offers more than 600 kilometres of pistes. As an example, the operator describes a day trip from Morzine to ski in Switzerland, have lunch there and return to France in the evening.
