New Ski Hotel Opening in Sölden
The Austrian ski resort of Sölden on the Gaislachkogl is raising its game: just in time for the 2010/2011 winter season, one of Austria’s most architecturally modern cable cars, the „Gaislachkogl Bahn“, is set to open (as we reported), and the reopening of the design hotel „Bergland Sölden“ is among the most spectacular reopenings in Europe’s ski regions this winter.
Elevated ambience with style: the Bergland Sölden ski hotel on the Gaislachkogl
The „Bergland Sölden“ ski hotel (4-star superior) has undergone extensive modernization. Its highlight is a 1,700-square-meter spa area. The hotel’s „Sky Spa“, with a swimming pool and outdoor pool, is located on the fifth floor of the newly opened ski hotel and therefore offers breathtaking views of the Ötztal Alps. With 84 suites, ski rental right at the hotel, a cigar lounge and a wine list featuring more than 200 varieties, the „Bergland Sölden“ ski hotel in Austria on the Gaislachkogl is one of the region’s most appealing hotels for a ski holiday. Right outside the hotel, a funicular now takes guests directly to the ski area. Book lovers will find a well-curated selection in the hotel’s spacious library and can settle in by the warming fireplace to browse.
The rooms in the reopened ski hotel leave nothing to be desired: the hotel’s designer rooms and suites are equipped with internet access and flat-screen TVs. A striking highlight of the ski hotel in Sölden is the thin glass membranes separating the bathrooms from the outside world, guaranteeing spectacular views from the rooms across the hotel’s picturesque surroundings. A ski holiday in a truly special way—the newly opened „Bergland Sölden“ ski hotel sets the standard for the coming ski season.
