Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei wins an award
Großglockner is one of the best-known peaks in the Alps in Austria and forms the geographical boundary between the federal states of Tyrol and Carinthia. The Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei in Austria was named the best ski area in Austria for families by the jury of the independently operating “Association for Consumer Information”. Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei also received an excellent rating from skigebietetest.de, where the ski area was awarded the distinction “TOP for Families”.

While Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei in Tyrol impressed the Association for Consumer Information above all with its excellent value for money, in the second instance the ski area scored points for its infrastructure, which takes particular account of the needs of the youngest winter sports enthusiasts in the Alps. During the low season, the family ski pass at the Großglockner Resort in Austria is available from just €531 per week; during the high season, tickets start at €581. For this price, up to four people get unlimited access to the slopes and cross-country trails around Großglockner. Children under six ski for free, while winter sports enthusiasts up to the age of 18 pay the child rate.
