Young people ski for free in Germany
Anyone choosing a ski holiday in Germany before Christmas or over the holiday period has plenty of snow-reliable regions to choose from. From the Alps, across the Swabian Jura and the Black Forest, to the Sauerland winter sports region or a ski holiday in the Erzgebirge, Germany offers every kind of terrain. The Association of German Cable Cars and Drag Lifts is offering an additional incentive to take a ski holiday in Germany on the fourth Sunday of Advent, that is, next Sunday (20 December). Once again, the VDS is looking out for families with children, bringing an early Christmas treat to the Alps, the Swabian Jura, the Black Forest, Sauerland and Erzgebirge, four days before Christmas.

Around 60 operators of cable cars and drag lifts in Germany, all members of the VDS umbrella association, are inviting children and young people up to and including the age of 16 to ski for free in the ski regions between the Alps, the Black Forest and the Erzgebirge on the fourth Sunday of Advent. Ski lodges in Germany traditionally enjoy very strong bookings over Christmas and New Year, and the VDS Advent promotion is expected to boost them even further this winter. To take advantage of free skiing in the Alps, the Swabian Jura, the Black Forest, Sauerland or Erzgebirge, children and young people must be accompanied by at least one paying parent.
With its free offer on the fourth Sunday of Advent, the VDS shows its particular commitment to families with children and makes a ski holiday in Germany before Christmas a little more affordable.
