Alphotel Ettal near Garmisch opens its doors

The conversion and renovation work on the building of the new Alphotel Ettal near Garmisch-Partenkirchen was completed in record time. Georg Uzicanin, the energetic operator of the Alphotel Ettal, had acquired the building, formerly used by the Red Cross, at the beginning of the year and immediately set to work. After around four months, the results are more than impressive: the Alphotel Ettal is set to be awarded a 4-star rating.

With the exception of the wellness area with three saunas, the Alphotel was ready to open its doors a few days ago. As Uzicanin promises, tourists will also be able to relax in the sauna from the end of May. The completion of the planned underground garage for hotel guests may be delayed, however, as the rocky ground has proved more challenging than initially expected, explains the experienced restaurateur. Uzicanin has had a career in the industry spanning no less than 34 years, so tourists visiting the area around Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be in the best of hands at the Alphotel Ettal.

The hotel offers 50 rooms with a variety of amenities, a conference room, a wellness area, a fitness center, and a spacious panoramic restaurant where guests can enjoy regional and international specialties. The fact that the Alphotel Ettal has been chosen as an official partner for the 2011 Ski World Championships, which will take place in neighboring Garmisch-Partenkirchen, should also help raise its profile.
