A ski holiday in Germany is wonderful!

Germany has some great ski resorts in its low mountain ranges. The country's ski paradises offer wonderful ski holidays. You don't have to make long trips abroad to the Alps to enjoy a lovely Christmas with the family and some fun on the slopes.

That saves time and money on fuel for the holiday budget. Provided, of course, that Mother Hulda spreads her white winter wonderland across the ski resorts! After all, the ideal ski resorts are defined not only by their size and the quality of their slopes. Snow reliability is especially important in Germany, too. German ski resorts are usually very crowded at weekends. From Monday to Friday, skiers can enjoy a true ski paradise!

At the very top of the popularity list of German ski resorts is the Sauerland. Despite the ski resorts of Willingen (580 m) and Winterberg (up to 840 m) being at relatively low elevations, the Sauerland offers good snow conditions. Ski holidaymakers can look forward to 52 kilometres of slopes (including Astenberg and ZĂĽschen). There are also 5 opportunities for night skiing.

The Oberwiesenthal ski resort in the Ore Mountains holds second place in the hearts of ski holidaymakers. It lies on the 1,214.6 m-high Fichtelberg, near the Czech border. You can also watch ski jumping in Jens WeiĂźflog's hometown of Oberwiesenthal. And, of course, stay at his hotel.

The 1,440 m-high Feldberg in the Black Forest has also won the hearts of ski holidaymakers. It ranks third among Germany's most popular ski resorts. Feldberg offers the largest interconnected ski area in any of Germany's low mountain ranges.

The Rhön ski resort follows in fourth place, where snowkiting is now also possible. The Harz and Todtmoos ski resorts are in fifth and sixth place. The Arber in the Bavarian Forest and Black Forest's Todtmoos follow in seventh and eighth place.

If Mother Hulda is awake, ski holidaymakers will soon be able to swoosh down the German slopes!
