Several ski resorts in France this year will participate in the festival Rock on Snowboard, which will unite the fans of winter recreation and music.

Rock on Snowboard Festival is timed to the start of the ski season. This year among the French resorts, which want to host the festival are Val Thorens, Avoriaz and Serre Chevalier. The first will be Val Thorens - here the festival will be held from 26 to 27 November 2011. Then follows Avoriaz (December 10-11), and the last resort of the festival this season will be Serre Chevalier (18-19 December).

Rock on Snowboard events are divided by the time of the day: test rides and competition will last during the day and in the evening begin concerts and discos. Among the major events of the festival is opening of the "expo village", where anyone will be able to test the latest models of skis and snowboards from 40 manufacturers of ski equipment. Ski tests are offered free of charge.

Also during the Rock on Snowboard at the ski resorts in France, which participate in the event, will be held competitions for the Snowsurf edition prizes.

In addition, this year Rock on Snowboard prepared a special program for the children. For them will be organized special snowboarding training courses. In the courses will take part children under the age of 10 years. Courses will be a part of the children entertainment complex, which in addition to the ski school will include playgrounds for the little children.

At the snow parks of the resort tourists will also be able to watch adult competitions, where experienced athletes will compete in performing snowboard tricks. Among the spectacular events of the Rock on Snowboard is a freestyle show, which will include the best jump contest.

The cost of ski-pass for 1 day of the festival is 16-30 Euros depending on the resort.
