Skiing in Austria: before the new winter season many ski resorts in this country tend to draw attention to their tracks with a variety of promotions and discounts. Thus, Tirol Schwaz resort attracts family tourists by generous offers. At the resort children are taught the basics of downhill skiing for free.
It is worth noting that the tradition to hold free ski training for children in Schwaz has more than one year. And Schwaz is not the only such resort. Proposals for free ski training are available at the resorts of the whole Silberregion Karwendel ski area, which also includes such resorts as Buch Kolsassberg, Gallzain and others.
Free children ski courses will be offered in all schools of the Silberregion Karwendel region starting from 17 December 2011. The offer will be valid until 17 March 2012. Two exceptions will be made during this period: for the Christmas holidays - from 24 to 30 December 2011, and one week in 2012 - from 18 to 24 February. Free skating will not be available at this time.
The offer applies to children from 4 to 12 years. It can be used by the parents, who will stop at one of the resorts in Silberregion Karwendel for minimum period of one week. Free courses will include ski equipment renting and payment for the use of lifts for beginners.
Schwaz is a key resort of the Silberregion Karwendel ski area. Previously this city was known far beyond Austrian borders for its silver mines. Today Schwaz is one of the most beautiful holiday centers in the Lower Tyrol region. The total length of ski tracks in Schwaz is 100 km. The main peak of the resort is the Kellerjoch mountain, which is known as one of the most beautiful mountains of the Tyrolean Alps.
