With the Swiss resort Cervinia is connected by a lift system, which allows creating of a unique trans-national ski area in the Alps. Cervinia slopes due to the large number of tracks for beginners allowed the resort to become one of the best winter places in Italy for family holidays.
Lifts for summer skiing in Cervinia were opened on May 21, 2011. From this day until the beginning of September the Italian resort will offer its tracks to everyone.
