The choice of cycling and hiking trails is enormous, ranging from easy, relaxed family outings to expert routes. The Brixental offers trails to suit every ability level, set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop.
The gentle hills of the Brixental are mostly wooded. The two peaks Hohe Salve and Gampenkogel reach almost 2,000 m. Hohe Salve is part of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental ski area. 700 environmentally friendly snowmaking machines help Mother Nature out in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. In just 3 days, more than 100 kilometres of slopes can be snow-covered and made ready for winter.
Hohe Salve offers stunning panoramic views of more than 70 peaks over 3,000 metres high. This mountain scenery is truly among the most beautiful in the entire Alpine region.
But summer holidays have plenty to offer, too: mountain biking, Nordic walking, paragliding, horse riding, skiing, snowboarding and tennis. The Brixental has a wide range of varied leisure activities. A holiday in the Brixental is worthwhile at any time of year—not just during the ski season.
The Brixental has plenty to offer kids in summer. The idyllic Filmalmsee can be reached by gondola to Hochbrixen.
