One of the most famous ski resorts in Austria - Zölden in Tyrol - will soon present its guests a new tool that promises to improve the already-established ski infrastructure. We are talking about super modern lift, which takes amateurs of ski holidays to the tracks of Gaislachkogl peak. As noted by portal onthesnow.com, new lift in Zölden is already recognized as the most advanced construction of this type in Austria.

The lift, which was named Gaislachkoglbahn, is a unique and super modern construction not only in Austria but also in Europe. It was designed and engineered by several well-known architects from Innsbruck from the Bureau of Johann Obermoser. Design, safety and comfort - these are the main advantages of the new Gaislachkoglbahn. According to official sources, the project cost 38 million euros.

It is planned that the lift will deliver tourists to three ski stations of Zölden. Each of the stations is a unique architectural construction of glass and steel. All stations are equipped with escalators. New elevator cabs are spacious eight-seat capsules equipped with heated chairs. The capacity of the lift, which will replace the old cable car, is 3,600 skiers per hour.

In the 2010-2011 ski season for those who will go on holiday in Zolden will be opened several lines of Gaislachkoglbahn that will connect the station at an altitude of 1,363 meters and 2,174 meters with the highest point of Gaislachkoglbahn. An average station at an altitude of 2,174 meters promises tourists magnificent panoramic views of the Austrian Alps. Here for skiers will be equipped a special ramp that will able the tourists to get to the ski slopes just by rolling down on it. On the third lift station at an altitude of 3,040 meters you will be able to visit the highest mountain restaurant Zölden Tre Milla as well as a special observation platform BIG 3.

Operator of the lift is the company Bergbahnen Sölden Lift Company.
