Sölden Glacier Festival to Mark the End of the Ski Season
Sölden invites you to bid farewell to winter and celebrate the end of the winter season. The Maxxx Mountain Glacier Festival, from May 1 to 5, offers a host of attractions. At the same time, it kicks off the swimming season at an altitude of 2,800 m.
The Sölden ski area is one of Europe’s best-known ski holiday destinations. It is located in Austria’s Ötztal Valley in Tyrol. The ski area includes the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers. The “Golden Gate to the Glacier” lifts connect the winter ski areas with the glacier ski terrain. 39 cable cars take you up to an altitude of 3,250 m. Ski holidaymakers can enjoy 146 km of slopes for all ability levels, 3 cross-country ski trails and a snowboard fun park. There’s also “party time” in more than 20 ski huts, with legendary après-ski.

The Freecarving Masters Festival gets underway at the Rettenbach Glacier on Friday morning. On Saturday, enjoy the thrilling sounds of the headline live concert by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band. Party and fun to mark the end of the ski season in Sölden.
