Venet ski area opens
Ski and snowboard fans will be delighted. With plenty of snow having fallen, the Venet winter sports region in Tyrol has opened. Limited weekend operations continue until December 9. From December 15 to April 6, the mountain lifts are scheduled to run continuously.

The Venet ski area lies at an elevation of 780 to 2,212 m. The panoramic view across Tyrol and the surrounding area is unique. Visibility stretches from the Zugspitze to the Lechtal and Ă–tztal Alps. Venet is one of the most beautiful family ski areas in Tyrol. With its famously affordable prices, you can enjoy your ski holiday twice as much. Venet means a ski holiday without the rush. This family-friendly winter sports region is small but charming. Its 22 km of slopes are maintained to an exemplary standard. Children can let off steam at Krahberg on the playground, magic carpet or practice lift. Parents will also find a variety of leisure activities. Runs for beginners and experts wind down the slopes on the beautiful southern side. The fairly snow-sure slopes in the north are more challenging. Freeriders will find a first-class winter sports area here. The long runs on scenic Venet make the hearts of snowboard fans beat faster. The excellent slopes have been awarded the Tyrol Snowboard Quality Seal. The fun park at the HĂĽttenlift is also ideal snowboard terrain.

Summer in the ski area - paragliding
Venet is also very popular for hang gliding and paragliding. The Venet cable car transports gliders free of charge. The thermals here are ideal. A flight amid this unique natural panorama is an unforgettable experience. Tandem flights with trained instructors and a special canopy are also available to those with no flying experience.
